Effects of Alcohol

You see your pilot take one drink — do you get on the plane? You see your child's school bus driver take one drink — just one — do you put your child on the bus? Your daycare provider is finishing just one drink — do you leave your child with them? Your 22 yr old daughter confesses to you that she is tempted sexually with her boyfriend — do you discourage (forbid?) them from having just one drink on their dates?

Your surgeon, a juror at your trial, armed police, etc — we understand the risk and want them to abstain.

Why don't we make the same spiritual application?
