Why I Love Sunday Evening Worship

I love Sunday evening worship services. There is something special about the evening services that are so important.
  • I believe our sense of spiritual family is stronger because of our Sunday evening services. Compared to Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings often have a slower pace, providing invaluable time for catching up with each other's lives. Relationships are strengthened and deepened when we have time to connect with each other. When you read Acts 2:42-47, you get the feeling that the early church simply loved to be together—they were truly a family.
  • I believe the preaching has more depth on Sunday evenings. Often, because of visitors, the Sunday morning lessons tend to be first principle themes. Sunday evenings, allow the preachers to look deeper into the Bible and to help us learn more.
  • Sunday evenings are a great opportunity for the church to allow other men to lead singing and prayers. Some of us are new at this and the format of Sunday evenings provides a great platform to develop and use our talents for the Lord.
  • Sunday evenings provide a time for brethren to get together after services. This is a great time to know each other better. Sunday evenings are a great time to attend group meetings. We learn of the needs of others and find ways to help each other.
  • Sunday evenings provide yet another opportunity for us to sing praises to our God. It is another time when God's people can be together to pray. God is so good and He treats us better than we deserve. We can never spend too much time thinking, praising, thanking, or studying about God.

Are you coming Sunday evenings? Why not? Give it a start—even TODAY. It may be the very thing that helps you and your family out.
